How Teams Mode Changes the Game
In the classic co-op game everyone is working toward the same target. Teams mode splits the room into two sides that go head to head each round. Each team has its own Psychic giving clues to its own guessers, and the closer your team lands to the target, the more points you bank. Suddenly the game is not just about a good clue — it is about being reliably better than the other side, round after round.
Pick the Right Psychic
The Psychic is your most important role, so rotate it deliberately rather than at random. The ideal Psychic for a given round is whoever shares the most context with the rest of the team. If a prompt is about music, put your music person in the chair. If it is about food, hand it to the foodie. A Psychic who thinks like their guessers will give clues that land, and that shared wavelength is the whole point.
Also watch calibration. Some players consistently give clues that are too safe, clustering everything near the middle. In a head-to-head format, a Psychic who is willing to commit to the extremes when the target calls for it will out-score a cautious one over a full game.
Coordinate, Do Not Solo
The most common way teams lose is letting one confident player lock in the guess alone. Use your guessers as a group. Have each person react to the clue before you commit the dial, and treat wide disagreement as information: it usually means the clue was ambiguous, so hedge toward the center of your team's spread. When everyone independently lands in the same zone, trust it and commit hard.
Play the Long Game
A single round rarely decides a match. Consistency wins. Rather than swinging for a perfect bullseye every time and occasionally whiffing badly, aim to always be in the scoring zone. Steady, reliable guesses compound across a game, while boom-or-bust play hands easy rounds to the other team whenever it misses. Treat every round as a chance to bank solid points, not to show off.
Read the Other Team
Because both teams face the same prompts over a game, you will start to learn how the opposing Psychics clue and how their guessers behave. If they consistently overshoot, you can factor that into your own read of a shared target. Paying attention to the other side is a small edge that adds up, especially in a close match.
